Sustainability
At Puyuhuapi Lodge, it is a constant concern to protect the environment and the nature that surrounds us. Being consistent and sustainable in our environment is a fundamental part of our daily life and proposal, contributing, with transversal guidelines, to the recovery of the social and environmental fabric of this piece of southern territory.
Energy: Our waters give us life. Thermal water provides us with heating and hot water in the rooms, while waterfall water provides us with drinking water and electricity through turbines that provide a high percentage of our annual consumption.
Sewage treatment plant: It allows us to return our wastewater in a clean way, in accordance with the regulations and the naturalness of the springs that, circularly, provide us with this resource.
We support the local economy: 90% of the Lodge's supply purchases occur in the region. On the other hand, in our souvenir, 40% of the products we offer are from local producers.
We recycle: Cans, cardboard, plastic, tetrapack and glass bottles.
For this and other measures that you can discover in our lodge, we have the sustainability seal granted by SERNATUR since 2014.
